Building a product that our customers love
The product development project aimed to prioritize functionality and maximize the value our customers would get out of the product. By using design thinking methods in an iterative, customer-centric process, our interns Jonas and Odin helped to scope functionality and core features most needed by our customers. The project ended in a well defined and customer tested MVP.
Onboarding and scoping the project
During the first couple of days the interns went through an intense onboarding process to get a flying start. The first task was to define their own project plan for the summer to reach the overall project goal: to sketch out, test and prioritize a digital solution that our customers would love.
Customer workshops and prioritization
Larger workshops with up to 15 participants helped to dig deep into customer pains and needs. The interns were responsible for categorizing feedback and helping to define value propositions and functionality to solve key customer pain points.
The workshops, customer interviews and summaries put together by the interns laid the foundation for producing new wireframes and product design. An external design team, Hey Saga, was engaged to assist the work. Jonas and Odin played a pivotal role in communicating the needs and making sure wireframes and features were sketched out in line with the customer insights.
Whenever we hit any challenges, we were able to overcome them as a team through collaboration and creative thinking.

Final deliverable, MVP prioritization and product roadmap
After several rounds of customer feedback and iterations, development could finally start. The entire development process started with a product roadmap based on the prioritization and time to value found during the project. During the rest of the summer, Jonas and Odin followed up daily with the development team to make sure we were on the right track.
During a two week holiday period Jonas and Odin were in charge of driving the process forward, held daily stand-ups and acted as product managers. The internship project ended in a MVP ready to test with our pilot customers and has set the foundation for what is now the Plaace platform. Thank you for your great work!
What has been the best experience?
My best experience over the summer was when we held our final presentations for our clients. They were impressed by our work, and I think it both confirmed some of their own hypotheses, in addition to providing them with some new input that they had not thought of earlier.
